Job Summary:
Literary agency is looking for an Office Manager who will report directly to the CEO and is responsible for managing operations and all human resource functions to ensure the effectiveness of the employee-company relationship. The Office Manager participates in the development and implementation of day-to-day strategies. In addition to managing internal production and assessing performance, the Office Manager is responsible for monitoring vendor relations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for all office related matters.
- Responsible for handling the company’s human resource functions on all levels including: hiring, onboarding and development, administering benefits, developing and managing projects for process improvement, managing employee relations
- Uphold all functions of operations: maintain the company’s computer system, phone system, inventory, and financial coordination.
- Responsible for implementing Trident’s personnel policies.
- Respond to and resolve employee grievances.
- Review timesheets for non-exempt employees and track vacation and sick time for all employees.
- Responsible for monitoring billing and contracts with vendors.
- Identify new strategies in order to cut company costs.
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Liaison between building management and employees.
- Enter vendor payments through QuickBooks.
- Bank reconciliations for a smaller separate entity and process payments to client
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, or human resources
- 1 – 3 years of work related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to solve problems in a timely manner
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Baits a plus
