Tranzonic is Hiring an IT Support Specialist Near Knoxville, TN
- Provides technical assistance and support for incoming incidents and service requests related to computer systems, software, and hardware. This includes addressing a range assigned incident and service work within service level agreement timeframes. This includes:
- Setup, installation, and configuration of computer systems and applications.
- System access, account management, and password-related issues.
- Install and configure software applications, operating systems, and updates on computers/scanners.
- Provide guidance to users on software usage and troubleshoot issues related to software functionality.
- Set up and deploy new computer systems and hardware devices (printers, scanners, etc.)
- Routine maintenance on computer systems, including hardware upgrades, installations, and repairs.
- In handing assigned work, uses problem solving skills to:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including hardware and software problems, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system errors and failures, collaborating with other IT professionals when necessary.
- Investigate and troubleshoot network problems, connectivity issues, and system errors.
- Determines and documents root cause analysis of issues to prevent them from happening in the future.
- Design and execute preventive maintenance plan for computer, network, printers, and handheld devices.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and incident resolution troubleshooting steps.
- Document standard operating procedures and create user guides as necessary.
- Maintain timely and accurate status on assigned tasks via the IT Service Desk application as well as resolution steps.
- Educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a PC Support Technician or similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution center work environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, knowledge of operating systems (Windows).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented with good communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
- Displays a positive customer-focused work attitude and a strong team player.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
