POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Programs Manager, the Program Lead is responsible for providing Cause-Driven management and operations focused around family and youth programs. This position will include associate supervision, program development, program area facility management/maintenance, program optimization and fulfillment. The Program Lead is also responsible for supporting, training, supervising, and leading their associate team in superior levels of member service and engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead family and youth programs at center level
Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activities
Support onboarding of new Associates
Foster an environment that is positive and motivating to families, children, and peers
Communicate with center leadership and Programs Manager to effectively coordinate and communicate facility usage for assigned programs
Ensure programs are staffed and planned accordingly
Engage and interact with children during programs
Obtain and prepare materials for each program
Work with Programs Manager to send out reminder emails to families who are registered for programs
Attend and actively participate in all meetings as assigned
Incorporate the four character values of the Y: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and adhere to the YCM Code of Conduct
Communicate the Y mission and objectives to the community
Enforce all policies and procedures
Assist in all other areas as assigned
