Barback Job Description
The restaurants at Great Jones Distilling Co. is a concept that blends a New York Distillery with elevated cuisine. We are looking for barbacks to join the team and be a part of this one of a kind concept.
Candidates must have the following:
Requirements;
- Preferably, at least 2years of experience barbacking in a fast paced environment
- A true passion for customer service and teamwork
- You are outgoing, intuitive and have a strong focus on attention to detail
- You are dedicated to learning and have a great attitude with a smile
- You have strong relationship and communication skills
- You have the ability to excel in a fast-paced work atmosphere
- A commitment to maintain a collaborative, supportive and happy work environment
Barback responsibilities (not limited to)
- Opening and setting up
- Closing and breaking down
- Assistaning bartender with some cocktails/service bartending
- Ensure Guest satisfaction
- Serve and describe any and all food on the menus
- Maintain the bar top (remove empty glasses, share plates, misc. debris, and wipe down)
- Clear guests’ plates and empty glassware
- Bar Prep which may include garnish, syrups, juices, batching
