The Barback maintains all bar environment and equipment.The Barback is responsible for ensuring the bar area is clean, tidy, and fullystocked. The Barback focuses on assisting Bartenders to ensure they have everythingthey need to serve customers efficiently. 

This position has an hourly rate of $16 per hour Tips. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setup andbreakdown of bar stations

• Replenishbeverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction

• Mark bar counterappropriately to food order for each course

• Maintaincleanliness of the bar area at all times, ensure bar area is well stocked withsupplies and beverages including:

o Straighten bar area continuously; restock bar with cleanglasses

o Clean counters, floors, shelves, and refrigerators; removetrash

o Check coolers and shelves to ensure proper stocking of beer,wine, liquor, and all beverages; stock bar with iceas needed

o Check for supplies such as sugar, salt, stir sticks, straws,napkins as per specified inside work list

o Requisition of additional supplies as needed

o Cut fruit and garnishes; retrievespecial garnishes from kitchen

• Sweeping and mopping inand around bar service areas and customer common areas.

• Verify eachguest satisfaction during each course or beverage served

• Anticipateguest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything

• Wish everyguest a warm farewell and thank them for coming

• All other responsibilities assigned by Management

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Report all suspiciouspersons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the management

• Understandand follow the laws and guidelines for beverage service

• Provideexcellent service at all times to all of our guests, assist guests courteously and efficiently

• Respond toall guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction, and information asrequested when working in public areas

• Assist Barand Lobby Lounge cocktail server in lounge when necessary

• Attend allfood and beverage training classes

• Followingthe posted opening and closing duties and side work sheet

• Attenddaily pre meal/communication meeting

• Attendmonthly department meeting

• Generate agood atmosphere

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years’ experience ina luxury hotel environment or similar restaurant or bar setting

• Positive, engaging, andenergetic personality

• Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to nodirect supervision

• Very high attention to detail

• Sensitive to cultural nuances

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalon English

• Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense,fast paced environment

• Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with variousstakeholders

• Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Multi-lingual is a plus
