SUMMARY: The Medical Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the medical department. In this role he or she will be assisting the medical team by providing assistance with medical records management, including releasing medical records following HIPAA Guidelines, as well as scanning, Efiling, Efaxing, and other general misc. medical office duties.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Reports to Director of Clinical Services
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Required. At least 2 years’ experience with medical records processing.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Normal medical office environment. Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Some lifting required for file boxes. Manual dexterity is needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
