Overview: The Door is an unparalleled model for youth development, offering a comprehensive range of integrated services within a single site for up to 11,000 New York City youth each year. At The Door, youth can access mental health counseling and crisis assistance, health care and education, legal assistance, college preparation services, career development, housing supports, arts, sports and recreational activities, and nutritious meals – all for free and under one roof. By providing participants with our suite of integrated services, we seek to provide any motivated young person with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to successfully transition to adulthood.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Data Systems, the Data Services Manager is responsible for executing and maintaining the cross-program data needs for our organization along with other team members.
Responsibilities:
Create reports and graphical charts in Crystal Reports, Tableau, and other reporting tools.
Assist with Data Auditing and Analysis, and data integrity checks and resolution.
Assist in identifying data issues that cross boundaries facilitating common resolution.
Assist in determining the data needs of programs and funders.
Create, modify and document data elements and data collection forms as needed.
Integrate data across multiple platforms using Microsoft Azure SQL and its data import/export tools.
Perform simple Azure SQL administrative functions such as adding new users, rerunning SQL SSIS Pipeline syncs, and adding/removing fields to Pipeline sync runs.
Other functions and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree required in Computer Science or another related field preferred.
3 years’ experience with data analysis and file manipulation.
3 years knowledge and experience with relational database technology.
3 years knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and Crystal Reports (or similar Reporting packages).
Programming background a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL a plus
Knowledge of eClinical Works and Salesforce a plus.
Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite.
The ability to work as a member of both the Data team and interdisciplinary teams in systems planning and determining both funders and programs’ data needs.
Proven experience with software documentation/technical writing.
Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to anticipate problems and use judgment appropriately to plan solutions.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication and data management skills.
Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week
