Citi is transforming the way it works with Data! Our Services business is making a considerable investment in modernizing and simplifying all aspects of our data estate. We are seeking an experienced data leader who is skilled in data governance concepts and the technologies used to operationalize them. An ideal candidate understands data architectures and infrastructure. He or she has a deep understanding of platform constructs (producer/consumer), data standards, data catalogs, data quality engines, lineage, sensitivity classifications, dataset versioning, etc... as well as a vision for how to reduce the human toil that often comes with working in these independent tools on thousands of datasets at source, in motion and at rest (whether on-prem or in the cloud). The perfect candidate understands all of these things and has the strategic vision, influencing skills and action orientation to find the best way to achieve multiple outcomes through the same investment (i.e. improved data quality, policy compliance and better business results) while at the same time working with our global CDO office to shape future versions of our global data policies and procedures.
This leader is accountable for keeping our data safe, secure and compliant to standards. Our business operates in over 100 countries at incredible scale. This person will need to understand the regulatory landscape across the globe and be effective at communicating data governance strategy and implementation to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization (literally, from the analyst new hire to the c-suite). This role lives at the intersection of Data, Product and Technology and creates an incredible opportunity for the right candidate.
