The Research Data Services role will be a member of the Global Research Data Services team and will work with internal business and technology associates across regions to provide data, analysis, and reporting solutions to management, support partners and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Data Steward for Research – Individual will be responsible for executing the data department’s data strategy, managing data standards adherence, data issue management, governance programs and over data health of the front-line unit
• Own Dataset routines – ensure all datasets are inventoried and governed with appropriate controls
• Manage offshore workers based in India and Argentina – find efficiencies by consolidating regional routines into global processes, improve data quality by designing quality control measures
• Support Institutional Sales and clients with logistics for access to new/existing Research data sets
• Work with internal partners to understand business requirements and design reporting solutions to recurring data needs
• Support management team and other internal partners with specific data inquiries and ad hoc analysis
• Ensure data quality by developing data cleansing routines and working with technology team to organize data for optimal efficiency
• Review existing reports and reporting team procedures; recommend and implement improvements
• Support technology-related reporting projects, including: documenting business requirements, reviewing requirements with development team and business stakeholders, designing and executing test cases; coordinating the UAT process; participating in post-release smoketests.
• Troubleshoot and track data and reporting issues

Required Skills

• 5 years of full-time experience working with data
• Strong Excel skills including Vlookup, pivot tables, common formulas, working with large data sets
• Experience creating Excel macros using VBA creating and interpreting SQL queries
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively to different audiences (analysts, management, support staff and technology partners)
• Strong attention to detail; exercise strong quality control over own work
• A strong sense of intellectual curiosity
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
• Ability to work effectively with others in a collaborative environment, as well as the ability to work autonomously
