JOB TITLE: HR Generalist FLSA Classification: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources REPORTS TO: Director of HR
PURPOSE
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing on-sight and regional support and guidance to employees and management on HR initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert on the Company’s policies and procedures. This role will be responsible for workplace investigations and resolving employee concerns, assist in developing and administering programs to proactively address employee relations issues, while providing support and guidance to managers on employee relation matters, and maintaining records. The HR Generalist will also assist in recruiting efforts, training and development, oversee exit interviews, analyze data, and build and sustain relationships with all levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the Director of HR in aligning organizational goals and strategic plans.
· Build and maintain influential relationships by being a trusted, consultative business partner with management and serve as an employee advocate.
· Support the goals of the Department through policy-reinforcement as applicable in areas such as the employee handbook, HR procedures, and HR forms; ensure they are current, in compliance with laws and regulations and are consistently administered and followed.
· Respond to employee and leadership questions and requests for information, point them to appropriate self-service tools.
· Support employee relations by being the point person to conduct investigations into employee complaints of harassment, discrimination, or other misconduct (initial interviews & fact gathering); maintain records of employee investigations and resolutions.
· Act as first level resource on HR issues and assist on counseling employees and management on topics related to EEO, FMLA, ADA, performance, and termination guidelines.
· Coordinate and facilitate resolution meetings between employees and/or management.
· Provide coaching and counseling to employees and managers of effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
· Assist managers with corrective action and performance management, including how to prepare proper documentation.
· Assist the Recruiting/HR Manager with recruitment and hiring processes.
· Administer exit interviews; collect, analyze data, and prepare reports.
· Assist in improving HR and/or company policies and procedures.
· Assist with Training and Development initiatives which may include hosting workshops, drafting content, and LMS reporting.
· Support all lines of business by promoting, communicating, and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives.
· Assist with updating HR communication pieces as needed throughout the year to stay relevant and current.
· Assist HR Management with the execution of the annual performance management program and help promote continuous feedback.
· Assist with general operational projects and ad hoc reporting related to HR Analytics, compliance, and compensation.
· Provide support on the preparation and execution of M&A activity as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration. In lieu of HR degree, extensive experience in Human Resources may be considered.
· 3 years of related HR generalist experience.
· 1 years’ experience working with all levels of management.
· 1 years employee relations experience (anticipate, identify, and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues – corrective actions, disciplinary discussions, etc.)
· 1 years workplace investigation experience (proper interviewing techniques, fact finding, writing summary reports, etc.)
· SHRM-CP preferred.
· Multi-site, multi-state experience a plus.

Work Environment: Job is typically performed in a general office and/or restaurant environment or remote.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
