The Comfort Group Incorporated, a Nashville based mechanical construction company, is looking for a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources functions, processes, and planning for our Nashville and Huntsville, AL offices.

The Human Resources Coordinator will be located at our Nashville office and will assist our Huntsville, AL office as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Post new job descriptions, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
• Conduct necessary reference checks.
• Administer onboarding process including scheduling pre employment drug screenings, background checks, MVR reports, and safety training.
• Continuously improve the new employee orientation process to ensure it is always engaging, relevant, and comprehensive.
• Assist the safety manager in maintaining safety training records.
• Participate in maintaining and developing organization handbooks, guidelines, and procedures.
• Develop, organize, and maintain process documentation and employee records to ensure compliance and privacy.
• Communicate monthly progress, issues, and resolutions to the senior management team.
• Assist with health insurance, 401K, and other benefit enrollments.
• Maintain up-to-date employee information.
• Facilitate employee inquiries.
• Assist CRO with 2024 healthcare selection, open enrollment, and administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration.
• Ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in HR administration, people management skills, and employment regulations.
• Practical knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, persuade, and effectively work with employees at all levels.
• Proven organizational and conflict management skills. Leads with integrity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets.
