Benefits Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Covington, GA. As a Benefits Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and administering our employee benefits programs. You will be responsible for ensuring that our employees understand and maximize the benefits offered, while also ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, retirement plans, life insurance, disability insurance, and other related benefits.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on benefit options, eligibility requirements, coverage details, and claims procedures.
  • Coordinate open enrollment periods, including organizing informational sessions, distributing materials, and assisting employees with plan selections.
  • Collaborate with benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators to ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits.
  • Monthly bill reconciliation of all vendor invoices
  • Administer ongoing LOA/FMLA/STD/LTD/ADA request to include state programs where applicable
  • Maintain employee benefits records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Stay updated on changes in benefit regulations, industry trends, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements to the company's benefits programs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to employee benefits.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit plans, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare reports and analyze benefit data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Assist in resolving benefit-related issues, disputes, and appeals, working closely with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • May be required to work on other HR related task that may be outside of benefits when needed. 

Qualifications

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in benefits administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal and state laws, such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA, pertaining to employee benefits.
  • Must have experience with ADP WFN.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex benefits information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in using HRIS and benefit administration systems to manage employee data and generate reports.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyze benefit data to identify trends and make recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve benefit-related issues effectively and efficiently.
