The Part-Time People Team Specialist helps to take care of our team and Tatte. They assist with primarily administrative tasks to support People and legal functions, with a focus on leave administration, safety & security support, and other administrative matters. The Part-Time People Specialist is highly-organized, attentive to detail, and, above all, is customer service -oriented.

Summary of Responsibilities

The People Team Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing, nurturing, and sustaining strong relationships with all internal and external clients
• Handling all aspects of leave administration including communications with team members and operations, properly documenting all leaves, and securing fitness for duty forms
• Securing security footage from Tatte’s surveillance system
• Responding to requests for security footage in accordance with Tatte policies
• Responding to and/or following up on communications to People/HR/Jobs/payroll inboxes and voicemail, and escalating inquiries as needed

• Reviewing People/HR-related and legal mail received and responding or forwarding mail to appropriate person for response/action as needed

• Proofreading, formatting, finalizing and organizing People-related and legal documents, policies, procedures and correspondence

• Processing, addressing, and otherwise handling compensation and benefits matters, including, without limitation, new hire and monthly benefits processing, routine People audits, and responding to team members compensation and benefits questions.
• Providing administrative support for regular department events, such as performance reviews and open enrollment

• Performing background checks
• Assisting with talent acquisition tasks as needed
• Supporting the off-boarding of team members
• Following and coaching team members on People processes, including, without limitation, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, compensation, workplace injuries, and HRIS matters
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions / Essential Functions

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for at least 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
• Must be able to work in small and occasional crowded spaces (while in an operations’ environment).
• Must be able to work up to 25 hours per week
