The Company
A fantastic opportunity awaits an entrepreneurial, talented and passionate Architect, to partner with a boutique Architecture firm in Vancouver, British Columbia. This locally-based company has a portfolio of repeat clientele but are now looking for a dynamic, driven and well spoken individual to work in a business development focused role, developing relationships as well as nurturing those with existing clientele.
THE ROLE
Learn the ins and outs of the day-to-day operations of the firm and make a strategic plan in obtaining greater market share and potentially diversifying. This firm specializes in a variety of work including multi-family and mixed use wood-frame projects, midrise and high rise towers, commercial, retail and community projects. This company are a small firm but with a sound reputation and interested in an individual looking to take their Architect career to the next level.
What's Required
  • Registered Architect in Canada with AIBC
  • 15 years' industry experience with a proven track record of business development
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, an interest to focus on business development and client management in the BC market with a long term aim to be a partner in the company and potentially own the practice
  • Well networked in the BC market with a strong industry and market knowledge
  • Excellent leadership potential, capable of managing a team
  • Capable of working through all phases of a project from conceptual design through to contract administration and construction period services
  • Possess a portfolio of projects and designs
  • A detailed approach to project management with an open mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion
  • High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design and planning
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Long-term outlook and desire to be a part of the succession plan of this company with the possibility to step into ownership of the company
