MineSense is Hiring a Director, Learning & Development Near Vancouver, WA

We are looking to add a Director, Learning & Development, to our People team in Vancouver, B.C. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director, Learning & Development will work closely with our leadership team to drive and define a learning and development strategy. In this role, you will manage the design, execution, facilitation, evaluation and continuous improvement of our learning and development programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate strategic business needs into learning and development programs that are values-based, people-centric and aligned with our business goals.
  • Develop and execute the strategy for Learning and Development programs to provide transformational learning.
  • Partner to create experiential learning as a part of a development journey for our leaders and teams.
  • Create a comprehensive Leadership Development journey for all levels of leaders, based on competencies, business needs, and transformational development.
  • Design and deliver end-to-end training programs, workshops, tools, and curricula that deliver a high-quality learner experience. 
  • Assist with identification and selection of Learning Management System, and maintain overall ownership of learning technology.
  • Facilitate dynamic classroom and virtual training, utilizing adult learning principles and various teaching methods to effectively ensure transfer of learning.
  • Manage outsourced consultants and content providers in year one, and build a learning and development team over time.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify knowledge and skills gaps and create innovative learning solutions for all Team-members that align with business needs. 
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including project plan creation, execution, and tracking of desired outcomes and results 
  • Manage program logistics, coordination and language translation in a hybrid format for virtual and live delivery for our global workforce.
  • Measure program effectiveness and adapt to improve satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change, and business results. 
  • Additional duties as occasionally required by your manager. 
Qualifications:
  • Recognized education/formal training in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or a related discipline (Degree or Certificate).
  • Experience with classroom facilitation and online training content/instructional design.
  • Experience developing and designing curriculum for adult learners.
  • Experience in training and delivering impactful and effective learning programs. 
  • Proven experience in managing training projects from end-to-end. 
  • Experience in assessing organizational needs and developing a variety of learning solutions to drive development and growth within an organization. 
  • Technical knowledge of e-learning authoring software and LMS implementation (an asset).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and experienced facilitator. 
  • Proven abilities as a leader, team builder, motivator, coach and mentor. 
  • Strong project management, logistical planning and organizational skills. 
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams. 
  • Ability to communicate in English, knowledge of Spanish is an asset.

$145,000 - $168,000 a year

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity.
