Project Manager

Tachus Fiber Internet (Tachus) is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Project Manager. Tachus is a fiber broadband internet provider delivering service to the Greater Houston area since 2018. The Project Manager is a leadership position within the PMO organization. Typical minimum project experience is 7 years with 5 years of industry experience. The role supports both the department & the project management team in a variety of ways: developing, managing, and approving project plans and budgets, reviewing action registers and meeting with contractors to resolve systemic issues, scope control and management, risk management, approving invoicing and project cost, creating Level 1 (Pre-Construction) budgets for approval, communicating project closeout to key stakeholders and the ability to manage projects independently and/or lead project teams on larger projects. The goal of a Project Manager is to be responsible & accountable for the scope, schedule, and finances of programs, from initiation to closeout, with guidance from the department leadership.

• Fundamentally Sound
  • Good command over project management principles
  • Organized and orderly in project task, producing little to no errors.
  • Strong command over project financials and KPI’s
  • Communicates clearly & concisely with key project stakeholders.
  • Leads project team effectively; works well within the PMO department & cross-functionally.
  • Great understanding of the department SOP
  • Maintains & follows a strong educational development plan.
  • Receptive and adjusts to constructive criticism.

• Technically Sound
  • Strong in Excel
  • Strong with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS)
  • Understands and can works with companywide systems: OSPI / QGIS / Power BI / ETC)

• Conduct Program Level Planning
  • Plans multiple projects in coordination with each other.
  • Reviews and maintains multiple project plans.

• Executes Program Plans
  • Approve / Sign WOs
  • Understands complete scope of program.
  • Reviews action registers and participates in contractors’ meetings.
  • Follows SOP
  • Ensures all project artifacts (Scope changes, cost, etc.) are documented.

• Perform Project Reporting
  • Review / Approve project budget reports.
  • Review / Approve PMIS based reports.
  • Creates project/ program specific reports at the request of PMO leadership.
