Responsibilities

The Synchrony Lab Operations Manager works with the Associate Laboratory Director to administer the daily scientific and technical operations in a clinical environment. These include the examination of data, creation of reports, and management of staff. This individual helps ensure that the lab facility operates as per the regulatory provisions of the government and the organization.

Monday-Friday - 7am-3:30pm

Duties

1. Performing chemical, molecular, hematology and microbiology tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment.2. Ensuring that services are of the best quality, and are carried out in an expeditious manner.3. Maintaining efficient and effective lab operations in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.4. Ensuring that the laboratory and environmental conditions are appropriate for the testing performed and provide a safe environment, free of physical, chemical, and biological hazards.5. Works with Associates Director to ensure that testing systems provide quality laboratory services across the path of work-flow (for all phases of testing: pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases).6. Assisting Associate Director with selecting and employing a sufficient number of laboratory personnel with appropriate education, experience and/or training to provide appropriate consultation, properly supervise, and accurately perform tests and report test results.7. Ensuring that all personnel receive appropriate training prior to testing specimens, and have demonstrated that they can perform all testing operations reliably to provide and report accurate results.8. Ensuring that policies and procedures are established for monitoring individuals who conduct pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing to verify that they maintain competency: To process specimens, Perform test procedures, Report test results promptly and proficiently, and whenever necessary, Identify remedial training and/or continuing education needs to improve skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree with a combination of experience.

Experience

• Three (3) years’ experience in a moderate complexity or high complexity laboratory setting.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
