Synapse Medicine is Hiring a Remote Product Manager

About Synapse Medicine

Founded in Bordeaux, France by two Public Health doctors, Synapse Medicine is working to make the prescribing process more safe, effective, and personalized for prescribers and their patients so everyone gets the best medicine.

By bringing together technologists and clinical experts, including a team of doctors and pharmacists, we’re building the future of prescribing with best in class clinical decision support, security, reliability, and ease of use both for prescribers and the developers that build for them.

Backed by leading healthcare and technology investors like Korelya, XAnge, MACSF, and BNP Development, over 300 hospitals and 25,000 prescribers across France and the United States trust our prescribing decision support, provider order entry, and electronic prescribing tools for their teams and patients.

The US Team

Synapse Medicine is growing its US team to support our initial batch of customers and the substantial pipeline of potential new partners. The US team works in collaboration with the French team and is led by teammates with experience at Surescripts, Truepill, and Optum.

The Role

The Synapse Medicine team is looking for a lead US Product Manager to join the small but growing US team focused on clinical prescribing support and electronic prescribing products. The US Product Manager will have a direct impact on the product strategy, design, and R&D processes that drive our solutions and business growth in the US market.

This role will report to the Vice President of US Business Operations and will collaborate with the Head of Product and Product Managers at our HQ in Bordeaux.

What you’ll do

  • Build a product roadmap from scratch for a newly in-market prescription technology product that strikes the right balance between enhancements for existing customers and new feature development that expands the product’s addressable market
  • For an early adoption period of at least 1 year, lead new customer integrations and manage ongoing customer support to get a deep working knowledge of the technology and user needs and ensure we are delivering a world-class product experience
  • Coordinate technical resources for product maintenance and roadmap delivery, including owning requirements documentation and sprint prioritization for a development team of both contractors and in-house engineers
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitive user feedback and build it into the product roadmap
  • Participate in pre-sales product analysis calls as the domain expert for the product and integration process
  • Collaborate with HQ teammates participating in the unifying of R&D processes and systems between the French and US market

Who you are

If you don’t meet all the requirements below but believe this opportunity matches your expectations and experience, we still encourage you to apply!
  • A minimum of 3 years of product management experience in the healthcare technology industry or 5 years of general product management experience
  • Experience owning requirements documentation for both front end and back end product development
  • Understanding or experience with at least one of the following: electronic health/medical records, pharmacy management systems, clinical decision support, electronic prescribing, pharmacy benefit managers, and/or health data exchanges
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity or experience with collaboration tools including Slack, Notion, Jira, and Gitlab
  • Willing to travel up to 25% for conferences and in-person sessions with clients
  • Comfort working with international teams

Now, it would be fantastic if you:

  • Speak French as the HQ team is French
  • Have a background in programming
  • Have experience doing some sales enablement or ride-alongs late in the sales process
  • Have experience with supporting or getting feedback from customer success and implementation teams

Logistics

This is a full-time, remote position which will generally work east coast business hours with some flexibility requested for our west coast clients. International travel to HQ is not required, but is an optional perk.

U.S. work authorization is required and Synapse Medicine does not provide sponsorship.
