Palladium Times Square is Hiring a Product Manager Near New York, NY

Palladium Times Square is an indoor live event venue located in the heart of Manhattan. Boasting both a large standing room orchestra section and large seating area, the venue represents the best of the best for those seeking a great entertainment experience!

To ensure that every event put on at Palladium Times Square exceeds the expectations of performers, special event hosts and guests, and entertainment seekers, we’re searching for a Production Manager to take our events to the next level! The Production Manager will be responsible for working directly with internal team members and stakeholders along with external promoters, event planners, talent, and others to ensure that the venue and production is set up optimally for their performance and that the execution of the event goes flawlessly.

The Production Manager will also be responsible advancing all events and being present on event days from load-through load-out, setting performance standards for Palladium Times Square, including creating standard workflows and operating processes so all staff and performers are aware of the intricacies of the performance, making sure that all events run smoothly and create a great experience for guests, and may include doing settlements with promoters, performers, or other venue renters when needed. In addition, the Production Manager will be responsible for managing the budget and timeline of events, will supervise the stage crew and perform quality checks, and will act as the Manager on Duty when needed.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of five years of experience in Production Management within the entertainment industry, an ability to adapt to changing production environments while maintaining quality and will be comfortable building and supporting an exemplary staff! Experience working with Unions is a strong preference.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates and advances with each event's external stakeholders to ensure the venue has a full understanding of the productions needs for each event.
  • Initiative and maintain coordination between tour and private production teams to confirm details, obtain presale information, including specifics for the productions, rider agreements, staging details and capacity changes.
  • Coordinate with contractors or vendors, as well as tour representatives and promoters, to receive all standard tour requirements to ensure that the venue is prepared for the event.
  • Manage vendors and contractors hired to support events, ensuring each event is safe, efficient, and successful. Ensure that payment is made to vendors as per contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a budget for each event ensuring that the vision fits within the needs of the venue and the performers.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for each production, including budget, checklist, quality checks, staffing, and additional items.
  • In coordination with Union, take proactive action to ensure that equipment is maintained to quality and safety standards and take steps to replace or repair equipment that is damaged for malfunctioning proactively.
  • Provide frequent and detailed communication regarding expectations for each event so each staff member understands what needs to be completed, ensuring a great event experience.
  • Provide production management starting from date of each event booking all the way through the event plays off including being present from load-in through load-out for each event, ensuring that all client needs are met.
  • Adapt and remain flexible when needed to adjust for changes during performances.
  • Additional tasks and projects as they arise.

Required Experience:

  • At least five years of experience as a Product Manager, event manager, or promoter required.
  • Candidates should possess a strong understanding and knowledge of venue and event-day operations.
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly and execute events seamlessly.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and a goal-oriented problem-solving approach.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, availability to provide support seven days per week.
  • Will need to be on call to support events at all times.
  • Required to work events from load-in through load-out.
