BH GUARD currently offers an excellent opportunity for a Product Specialist over Small Commercial package to guide our next stage of growth at Berkshire Hathaway Guard Insurance Companies. The position can be located in either Wilkes-Barre, PA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, and Parsippany, NJ.
The Product Manager will collaborate closely with the line of business leader, playing a pivotal role in documenting and versioning strategies. This role requires a strong ability to contribute date-driven and experience -driven ideas, actively supporting the execution of strategic initiatives.
•Provides strategic input and make actionable recommendations pertaining to line of business focus, including the development of guidelines and product strategies.•Owns portfolio analysis, accepting guidance from line of business leader on KPIs•Support the design, development and implementation of system and process solutions that align with the line of business specific strategy. •Collaborate with training and marketing to develop communication, training, and marketing materials in support of new or enhanced products and initiatives. May require delivery of training materials or content.•Outline post implementation monitoring and measurement mechanisms for line of business specific strategies in support of outlined success criteria. Collaborate with Strategic Business Analysis Unit to analyze and refine results.•Conduct competitor intelligence research.•Demonstrate awareness of each state’s regulatory environment and legislative rules to ensure that compliance standards are met. •Document, maintain, and version control underwriting guidelines, strategies and enhancements.•Collaborate with Strategic Business Analysis Unit for the purposes of ad-hoc analysis to support strategies, guidelines and initiatives.
•Bachelor's degree preferred with concentration in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics or Actuarial Sciences•5 years of Commercial Product or Underwriting experience.•Must have knowledge of industry trends, state regulations, and compliance processes.•Must be comfortable and proficient working in a matrixed environment, with stakeholders at various levels and in various departments.
Salary Range
$95,000-$190,000.00 USD
The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3-4 days per week and also be available for travel as required.
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
