Palladium Times Square is an indoor live event venue located in the heart of Manhattan. Boasting both a large standing room orchestra section and large seating area, the venue represents the best of the best for those seeking a great entertainment experience!
Safety and security are key when putting on an excellent performance and we’re seeking a Security Manager to ensure that each one of our events is fun and safe for performers and event-goers.
The Security Manager will be responsible for setting and maintaining security standards at Palladium Times Square as well as managing security during performances. This includes ensuring all staff members are trained on security processes, all performers and their teams are informed of the safety requirements for their performance, all security technology is up-to-date and used appropriately, and emergency plans are drafted and communicated openly. In addition, the Security Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and providing oversight for security staff, will participate in security screenings for performers and event-goers, will take a leadership role in any emergency situation, and will provide exemplary service to all that enter the Palladium.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of three years of experience in Security Management, ideally within the entertainment industry, a strong understanding of security standards within the industry, an ability to think outside of the box to resolve problems, and will take a people-positive approach to security management.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Collaborates with Operations Manager and performers to ensure security concerns are discussed and addressed
· Maintain standard security processes for the venue
· Execute security plans for each event, addressing specific and unique concerns
· Communicate security plans to staff and performers for all events
· Perform security checks for performers, support staff, and event-goers
· Train, coach, and develop security staff to ensure safe operations during all events
· Review and ensure that all security processes and technologies are updated to reflect industry standards
· Perform quality checks to ensure processes are running smoothly
· Act as Manager on Duty and in a leadership role during any emergency event, making sure to reach out to all necessary parties with a goal of keeping everyone safe throughout the incident
· Coordinate with law enforcement as needed
· Additional tasks and projects as they arise
