Sushi Oku, a new 8-seat / 17-course omakase restaurant in the Lower East Side, is looking to add a dedicated and experienced full time Front of House Manager to our team.

We are looking for a candidate capable of managing a small team, with previous experience in fine dining establishments (Japanese restaurant experience preferred, but not required).

Must have DOH card or willing to obtain quickly.

General Duties Include :

• Lead the team during service to deliver outstanding guest experiences, enforce standards of service, and resolve service issues
• Hire, schedule, train, and maintain strong staff
• Run the door at the beginning of each seating
• Manage Resy, including responding to guest chats and reaching out to confirm dietary restrictions
• Handle VIP relationships and encourage repeat business
• Monitor emails / voicemails / Yelp / Google Reviews and respond if needed

Salary range is industry competitive ( DOE) with performance incentives and paid time off.
