Looking for experienced Front of House team members
Are you an experienced hospitality professional seeking an exciting opportunity in Manhattans Financial District? Financial District restaurant/ lounge is looking for dedicated front of house employees to provide exceptional service to our valued guests. Position: Servers, Bartenders, Bussers, Hosts
Location: Financial District
Host Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor. Escort them to their tables, taking into account seating preferences and table availability.
Managing Reservations: Take and manage reservations over the phone, through email, or via online booking systems. Maintain an organized reservation book or system and communicate effectively with the serving staff and management regarding reservation details.
Maintaining Waitlist: Manage the waitlist during peak dining hours, accurately estimating wait times and updating guests on their status. Keep the waiting area clean, organized, and comfortable for guests.
Providing Information: Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, and special promotions. Provide accurate and helpful information to enhance the guest experience.
Coordinating with Servers: Communicate effectively with serving staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and efficient table turnovers. Relay special requests or preferences from guests to the serving staff.
Assisting with Service Flow: Monitor dining room activity and assist in optimizing table assignments to maximize seating capacity and minimize wait times. Coordinate with the kitchen to pace seating according to kitchen capacity.
Handling Guest Concerns: Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary to resolve issues satisfactorily.
Maintaining Host Stand: Keep the host stand or reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies such as menus, reservation cards, and seating charts.
Upselling and Promotions: Promote special menu items, seasonal offerings, and promotions to guests while they wait or as they are seated, contributing to increased sales and guest satisfaction.
Following Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices, social distancing measures, and cleanliness standards in the front-of-house area.

Server Responsibilities:
Taking Orders: Greet customers warmly, take accurate food and drink orders, and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
Serving Food and Beverages: Ensure that all orders are delivered promptly and accurately to the correct table, paying attention to any special requests or dietary restrictions.
Knowledge of Menu: Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
Upselling and Promotion: Suggest additional items, specials, or promotions to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep assigned sections clean and organized, including tables, chairs, and dining areas. Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
Handling Payments: Process customer payments accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods. Ensure proper handling of checks and transactions.
Providing Excellent Customer Service: Anticipate customer needs, address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, and strive to create a positive dining experience for every guest.
Collaborating with Team Members: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to coordinate orders, ensure smooth service, and maintain a cohesive team environment.
Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness standards, and adhering to health code regulations.
Upskilling and Training: Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve knowledge of menu items, service techniques, and customer interaction skills.
Busser/ Food Runner Responsibilities:
Table Setting and Clearing: Assist in setting up tables with utensils, napkins, and condiments before service begins. Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals to prepare for the next seating.
Food Running: Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables quickly and accurately, ensuring that each dish is presented correctly and in a timely manner.
Bussing and Resetting Tables: Clear dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables efficiently, and reset them with clean settings for the next guests. Dispose of waste and used items properly.
Assisting Servers: Support servers by refilling water glasses, providing additional condiments or utensils as needed, and helping to fulfill customer requests promptly.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and organized throughout the shift, including wiping down tables, chairs, and surfaces, and sweeping or vacuuming floors as needed.
Communicating with Kitchen Staff: Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are delivered to the correct tables and address any issues or delays promptly.
Assisting with Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, assisting with inquiries, offering assistance, and ensuring that their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
Following Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of dishes, utensils, and cleaning chemicals, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with servers, hosts/hostesses, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service.
Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in delivering food orders, setting tables, and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
