Accountabilities…

• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Complete monthly closing activities. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of closing procedures
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and ensure the integrity of the trial balance
• Completes standard and non-recurring journal entries which will include land transactions and depletions
• Develop, generate, and analyze various reports
• Tax and Audit Compliance support – develop workpapers, tracking sheets, and analysis as needed to support the Company’s Tax and Audit compliance efforts
• Develop, update, and maintain of standard costs
• Perform comparison of year over year product cost standards to ensure accuracy.
• Drive Company’s efforts to improve accuracy and efficiency in tracking its offsite inventory.
• Fixed Asset Accounting- additions, disposals, and depreciation
• Support financial planning and forecasting efforts
• Ad hoc financial analysis
• Other accounting duties as required

Required Qualifications…

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business related degree required
• Minimum three years’ experience in Accounting or Finance-related functions
• Self-driven to continuously improve processes and pro-actively pursue process improvement opportunities
• Strong understanding of business processes and financial/accounting transactions
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally, cooperatively, and collaboratively with all levels of employees
• Must be highly detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office application; especially Excel
• Comfortable analyzing data and performing quality analysis as needed – preferred
• Prior work experience in areas detailed under “Accountabilities’ preferred
