Position Summary: Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for all finance, accounting, audit, and reporting activities. The controller will lead the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. This oversees all functions related to the agency's budgeting process, including the development of agency and program budgets, manages financial performance for agency programs, research, development, and implementation of new programs and cost centers, as well as manages other special projects at the request of the Vice President of Finance. The Controller will ensure that VOA Oregon has the systems and procedures in place to support program implementation and manage all audit requirements. The Controller will work closely with program and division leaders and their staff to advise them regarding finance and accounting information and procedures.
Specific responsibilities include budget development, performance monitoring, financial and operational analysis, financial risk management, costing, grant and contract management, reporting, and compliance (including Federal Uniform Guidance A133 audit) and providing finance operational guidance. This position also provides agency-wide support for contract coordination, review and monitoring, quality management coordination, and acts as a liaison between the finance and accounting department and program management.
