About the Company and Opportunity:

• CFS is working with a local employer seeking a Controller to join their team.
• The Controller is responsible for overseeing, developing, and supporting the accounting team and all related functions.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making across the company.
• Departmental Powerhouse: Manage and oversee the accounting team, ensuring smooth operations in core areas like payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month end close.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with other departments to streamline processes and facilitate efficient information flow.
• Risk Management Pro: Implement strong internal controls, manage cash flow effectively, and safeguard company assets.
• Audit & Compliance Champion: Lead the annual audit process, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the CFO.

You're a great fit if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Experience with financial reporting software and technology.
• The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
