Controller
Our non-profit client is looking for an experienced Controller to lead their accounting team! The ideal candidate is a compassionate and approachable leader who enjoys making an impact while ensuring the ongoing success of the organization. This is a hybrid role, working in office 3 days per week.
This is a hybrid role requiring qualified applicants to commute weekly to offices in Portland, Oregon.
Controller Responsibilities

• Lead cash management functions including annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and provide financial and accounting guidance to management team members.
• Oversee accounting team members and month-end close functions ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and GAAP compliance.
• Prepare financial reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
• Drive and support audit preparations.
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Controller Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA highly preferred.
• 5 years of experience as a Controller including supervising for a non-profit, construction, real estate, or similar industry.
• Prior experience overseeing financial reporting and audit functions.
• Tech-savvy with Yardi or similar and Excel.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Salary: $90k-$125k (DOE)Benefits
