The Division of Legal Services, Litigation Unit, has an opening for a Lead Administrative Support Assistant position located in Jefferson City. This is an advanced, specialized support position involving a high degree of independent judgment and action in a variety of activities. The Division of Legal Services (DLS), provides comprehensive legal services to all programs and support divisions in the Department of Social Services.
Job Location: This position will be located at 221 W High St.-Broadway State Office Bldg Jefferson City, MO.
Key Responsibilities include:
The duties of this position are detail oriented. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: drafting letters; opening and closing case referrals; requesting records and reports; processing referrals to the Attorney General's Office by setting up and maintaining client files; reviewing summonses and subpoenas for scanning, tracking, and assignment; collaborating with the procurement team on contracts; tracking and organizing external requests; researching assigned issues; compiling pertinent data and information; data entry; and preparing reports, spreadsheets, and databases.
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Candidate must have good organizational skills, be dependable, and able to effectively perform at a high level of discretion in working with highly confidential case information. This position will also perform other related work as assigned based on desired goals and objectives. Interested candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge of business grammar, composition, and spelling; be able to work in computer information systems and software such as Word, Excel, Access, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
