Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of experience in Customer Service Related Field
  • Answers to qualifying questions must be verifiable within the work and/or educational history.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  •  Handles mail/package distribution and notifications for all divisions/offices within Russell Park Building.
  • Acts as the main contact for phone system issues and promptly reports to OIT when needed.
  • Routes incoming phone calls for FBO and provides direct responses to inqueries, including policy interpretations.
  • Assists COO staff with tasks such as solicitation response time stamping, copying, filing, and logistical support.
  • Facilitates timely processing and approval of purchase requisitions in MYFLORIDA MARKETPLACE.
  • Manages maintenance-related issues for FBO within Russell Park Building.
  • Monitors and schedules conference rooms efficiently.
  • Develops and maintains Desk Procedures for Front Office and Purchasing/Contracts section upon request.
  • Acts as the Human Resources liaison for job advertisements, interview scheduling, and applicant communications.

  • : Adheres to FWC communication guidelines and IMMP 1.33 to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrates efficiency and professionalism in all communications and ensures a consistent dialogue with the supervisor.
  • Contributes to team success through regular updates, proactive responses, constructive feedback, cooperation, and efficient task completion.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses potential challenges and changes within the work environment.
  • Engages with the public by promptly responding to inquiries and concerns, fostering a culture of public service and cooperation.
  • Provides valuable assistance to customers by offering information, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Handles customer issues by understanding their needs, recommending suitable solutions, and following up to guarantee resolution.
  • Channels technical inquiries to relevant subject matter experts and effectively resolves complaints within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Maintains proficiency in FWC resources, including knowledge-based systems, the FWC website, SharePoint, and printed literature.
  • Executes procurement and contract functions as directed, encompassing solicitation and contract document processing.

General Information:

This position has financial disclosure responsibility in accordance with Section 112.3145, F.S.

The commission expects employees to be courteous and respectful, while assisting Commission customers and stakeholders, ensure each encounter is as positive as possible. Employee should promptly resolve questions or problems related to the commission, it’s programs and/or fish and wildlife resources. Employees should seek to gain public support for agency objectives and programs by serving Florida’s citizens in a positive and proactive manner, and by listening to what the customer wants and striving to meet their needs. When appropriate, employees will explain the reasons for the agency’s actions or decisions while communicating a consistent FWC point-of-view.

Responsible for the following provisions and requirements in section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.

Work at FWC is cross-functional meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The commission expects employees to function across FWC’s organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise, wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.
