About the Role:
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for the administration of the internal Learning Management System (LMS), the creation of training and learning content, quality of training content, and the maintenance of corporate training records and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop instructor-led, e-learning, or blended learning content that provides employees with essential means for job growth and success.
  • Review training content deliverables for accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to create instructional content that is engaging and solves learning gaps & objectives.
  • Systems owner and serves as the subject matter expert for Spot's Learning Management System.
  • Support Spot's entire library of training and development content, onboarding, on-the-job, professional development, leadership development, sales development, and more.
  • Maintain mandatory compliance training within the LMS, including certifications, test scores, and reporting.
  • Use critical thinking skills to identify and conduct data analysis providing recommendations to SME's, Stakeholders, and peers.
  • Assist and participate in Training Events including presenting to learners as needed.
  • Remain aware of emerging instructional technologies and make recommendations to L&D Department leadership as needed to help facilitate a world class training program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Organizational Behavior, Learning, Instructional Design, and/or Human Resources
  • 2 years of learning & development experience, preferably in an instructional design.
  • Experience with a Learning Management System.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and SAM Instructional Design Model.
  • Experience supporting learning or talent management programs.
  • Knowledge of learning & development best practices and technologies, including instructional design concepts.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint): creating, formatting, and editing presentations and other documents.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
