Unit Description

The Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a creative open-minded Executive Chef for NetJets Headquarters located in Columbus, OH. We are obsessed with local products, culture, hospitality, great food and being best in class. We seek a strong culinary leader with a proven commitment to excellence, teamwork, and collaboration to help us achieve our vision. This is a High Profile Headquarters operation for our Aviation Client. This position is responsible for cafe and retail services, catering and airline meals. High volume, high end executive catering experience and strong organizational skills a must.

This position offers a predominantly Monday through Friday schedule.

  • Are strong all-round culinary ability and strong craft skills in all areas of professional cookery, including; main courses; salads; sauce work; and pastry and baking
  • Have a strong knowledge of food and able to cook using multiple styles of cuisine
  • Recognizing and reacting to contemporary trends
  • Use of correct food terminology and cooking methods
  • Constantly looking for new recipes and new ideas and initiatives that will improve both the quality of food and service as a whole
  • Play a key role and enthusiastically mentors culinary personnel

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a large sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. Key Duties- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.- Manages catering & retail areas.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.- Manages food & physical safety programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
