Job Description

Job Title: Service Operations Manager

Department: Property Management

Reports to: Director of Community Asset Management (CAM)

Status: Full Time / Exempt / Salaried

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the efficient distribution of work orders to SimplyHome and LCI Services technicians daily.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the service dispatch team.

  • Lead the implementation of an advanced dispatch system to track technician whereabouts and optimize resource allocation.

  • Identify and execute opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and streamline processes, both in the field and at the office.

  • Oversee coordinator dashboards and worklists, ensuring accurate and timely work order dispatching.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of purchase orders and invoices to maintain billing accuracy and integrity.

  • Create and maintain building pages, serving as a central repository for essential information pertaining to warranty vendors, service vendors, and superintendents.

  • Exercise sound decision-making within established departmental guidelines and protocols.

  • Play a pivotal role in onboarding and training new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Effectively manage and resolve resident escalations, upholding the organization's commitment to exceptional service.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.

  • Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.

  • Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of management experience.

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
