Service Managemenet Group is Hiring a Sales Development Representative Near Shelton, CT

Essential Duties:

  • Utilize proven lead generation techniques, including Company identified Software platforms, to identify potential clients and generate new business opportunities for the Business Development Team.
  • Self-generate leads and opportunities of prospective clients by conducting appropriate market research.
  • Initiating contact with potential clients through cold calls, emails, social outreach, and networking potential clients.
  • Provide overview of Company services and answer questions from prospective clients, as necessary.
  • Follow up and engage with prospects who have inquired about the Company's services, and forward marketing literature to prospects as requested.
  • Coordinate sales appointments for Business Development team.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activities, including but not limited to maintaining client contact information such as name, address, title, email, phone and other necessary contact information.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments, and pass needed information on to the Business Development Team.
  • Respond to prospective clients in a timely fashion.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports on sales activities and results to Management.
  • Meet/exceed projected weekly call volume and scheduled appointments.
  • Participate in Company scheduled business development teleconferences or meetings.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Assist with Company Social Media including, managing posts, building and responding to followers in support of achieving corporate marketing goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Field.
  • Two or more years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding lead targets.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing.

Knowledge, Skills, & abilities:

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
