Serendipity Catering is Hiring a Pastry Chef Near Lakewood, CO
Overall Description: Pastry Cook will have a variety of duties and responsibilities to perform every shift in the kitchen. You’ll be assisting the Pastry Chef in preparing the desserts, maintaining a clean and safe cooking environment, and taking on culinary tasks as they arise. This position requires physical and mental endurance as well as a flexible work schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing Serendipity Cafe items for our three retail locations
- Demonstrating skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies
- Creating enticing confectionery decorations and delicious pastry fillings, as well as keeping abreast of new pastry baking techniques
- Follow the prep sheets created by Prep Sheet Creator to plan duties
- Label and stock ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible; ensure all food and other items are stored and dated properly
- Clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, utensils, and working area
- Wash prep tables and kitchen floor before closing/leaving for the evening; take trash/recycling/compost to designated receptacle outside
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
