Seneca Family of Agencies is Hiring a Project Manager Near Oakland, CA

Overview

Unconditional Education has received support from the U.S. Department of Education to implement and assess the Compass Care Model, a promising new strategy for chronic absenteeism that promotes a family-focused, peer support model for increasing student engagement and achievement. This multi-year project will include implementation with school partners in Tennessee, Washington State, and California and require a high level of coordination with external evaluators from WestEd. The Project Manager will play a key role on the UE Central team, supporting leadership and staff to plan, coordinate, and execute implementation and evaluation plans, collaborate regularly with key partners, and share resources, reports, and stories of success with internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support hiring process by coordinating/scheduling interviews and communicating with applicants. 
  • Develop and support the execution of project management plans that ensure the implementation, evaluation, communication, reporting, and collaboration requirements of the project are met in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist in evaluation efforts, including collection of data from program staff and school partners and the preparation of evaluation documents and reports 
  • Support in the recruitment and coordination of the Youth Advisory Board (YAB), including communication with UC Berkeley and school partners, coordination of YAB meetings and listening sessions, staffing meetings, and developing summary documents 
  • Make necessary arrangements for meetings and events, including purchasing refreshments, scheduling rooms, coordinating travel arrangements, sending notices, and communicating with attendees 
  • Staff meetings, taking clear and concise minutes and sending follow-up documentation and summarizing content and outlining next steps 
  • Manage production of materials, reports and other publications related to the EIR Grant (i.e. intervention protocols, conference materials, etc.) 
  • Support with press and dissemination efforts, including research and development of a multi-year dissemination plan, outreach and coordination with potential press outlets, management of social media and blog content development and posting, and coordination of tours and site visits 
  • Assist in general functions of the program 

Qualifications

  • Education/experience requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree 3 years of applicable work experience 
    • Associate’s degree and 4 year of applicable work experience OR 
    • High school diploma and 5 years of applicable work experience
    • Applicable work experience includes any administrative position (paid or unpaid) requiring frequent data entry, ability to prioritize multiple projects within strict deadlines, and coordination with multiple departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Teams, and Zoom
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, computer, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • At least 21 years of age
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Schedule

  • January 2024 through June 2024: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week/ 4 hours per day
  • Starting July 2024: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week/8 hours per day

  • Starting at $28.84- $31.34 per hour, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
