SmartSource's client in Oakland, California is seeking a Project Manager for a hybrid opportunity.
The Project Manager will oversee complex projects and activities, demonstrating advanced skills in project management. This role requires onsite presence three days per week and remote work for the remaining two days. Only US Citizens or Green Card holders will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct daily functions, operations, and activities of professional, technical, and administrative staff for various District projects.
- Manage full lifecycle of assigned projects including scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop project timeline, schedule, and milestones, and monitor project progress.
- Create and manage project budget, review invoices, and track expenses.
- Ensure quality standards are met and manage changes in project scope.
- Evaluate and recommend professional consulting services, develop RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs, and assist in contract negotiation and administration.
- Maintain project-related documentation and monitor compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to project management.
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of relevant technical or professional field.
- Proficiency in project management principles and practices.
- Ability to lead, organize, and review the work of staff.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer software for project management and general office tasks.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and establish effective working relationships.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in supervising or leading project teams.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations related to project management.
- Experience with large project budgets and contract management.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and incorporate recommendations for improvement.
