Seek Capital is looking for a highly impactful Director of Marketing to an ROI focused marketing team of a company ranked #9 by Glassdoor in its “Best Places to Work” in 2020. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly competitive and collaborative individuals as we continue this path of rapid growth. Our client is a prime credit, startup or early- stage small business owner, and we offer business funding to enable them to start &/or grow their business. We have to date, originated in excess of $700 million and continue to experience rapid growth. Seek Capital was founded in 2014 and is investor backed with headquarters in Los Angeles, CA.

Our marketing team is continuing to grow as we look to add a new Director of Marketing to our Los Angeles Team. We are looking for absolute impact players who can drive solutions across multiple channels.

This position will be based in our Los Angeles office and will manage a combination of in-house team members and external agencies.

Our company culture is sales & marketing driven starting with our CEO who, prior to founding Seek Capital was the CEO of a highly successful digital agency specializing in PPC and landing page optimization.

Role Description: 

  • Manage internal and external teams
  • Hire and manage team members as required (Full time, contractors, agencies based on business requirements)
  • Oversee multi-channel personnel and outsourced agencies
  • Grow additional channels to further grow lead volume

  • Be ultimately responsible for growing lead volume at target performance metrics
  • Be responsible for both lead generation and contact center communication (email, SMS etc)

  • You're a modern marketer, builder, and growth driver
  • You thrive in both the creative and the marketing analytics aspects of digital marketing
  • As our digital marketing leader, you'll own the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, marketing tech, and reporting and analytics
  • You'll oversee a current, and continue to grow, a best in class digital marketing team including SEM, SEO, email, content, video and other mediums to turbo-charge Seek Capital's growth
  • Our ideal candidate has deep experience running performance-based campaigns, has a test & learn mentality and has a clear track record of driving profitable growth for the companies they've worked for
  • You may not have all the answers today, but you know what questions to ask, who to ask and how to find the answers, both internally and externally

Your Responsibilities will include: 

  • Working with our founder/CEO to set the strategy for paid and non-paid media
  • Have a fundamental understanding of various channels to be able to be a sounding board, ask thought provoking questions and push each channel team to higher performance
  • Work w/ the exec team to define KPI's 
  • Work with top tier technology platforms
  • Be able to source & evaluate technology providers
  • Work with each channel manager to; Plan & create all marketing initiatives for the company, via all digital mediums, including but not limited to; paid search, SEO, email, social media, display, content & video
  • As we establish success in one channel, build the team and take on additional channels to continue to grow the lead flow
  • We have a highly productive sales team that you will support with ongoing communication to our leads via email, SMS and ringless voicemail
  • Have input with our agency partner to a high-converting landing page experiences for each channel
  • In conjunction with our Analytics team, ensure the proper tracking is in place, create a test & learn mentality amongst members of your team, & provide daily/weekly/monthly status updates on ROI
  • Continuously test. Running A/B tests on everything & making data driven decisions
  • Be a hands-on contributor. You're comfortable writing copy & creative briefs, running data analysis, and diving into the details
  • Basic proficiency in HTML & SQL would be a plus
  • Evaluate, select, and build/ buy the best marketing technology available
  • Think holistically across the business to ensure we're focused on the right objectives and are allocating resources properly

Your Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Quantitative background w/ a strong understanding of the technical aspects of multiple channels including; search, email, paid social, content/landing page optimization, and analytics
  • Proven strategic thinking, analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency w/ analytics tools (e.g. Domo) and web traffic reporting, and demonstrated ability to perform data analysis
  • 5 years of performance marketing experience
  • 2 years of performance marketing experience in a senior role
  • Experience running ROI focused paid media at companies that generate leads as part of their customer acquisition process
  • You’ve worked in an agency where you have been exposed to various industries
  • You’ve worked inhouse where you rolled up your sleaves and honed your craft
  • You are likely a specialist in at least one channel and have a strong grasp of other channels
  • You have managed a multi-channel team
  • You live and breath direct response marketing
  • Significant experience leading and growing high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organization/planning, collaboration, and communication skills
  • A good sense of prioritization and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Haves: 

  • Have worked with a sales team and lead generation
  • 3 years Financial Services sales (Ex. Banking, Insurance, Mortgage, Business Funding) 
  • Experience working with small-to-medium size business owners 
  • Competitive spirit and track record of results (for example; sports teams, organized music, etc.)
  • Salesforce.com experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a major institution or equivalent experience 

Salary & Benefits 

  • Compensation: A combination of base pay performance-based compensation.
    Expect average annual pay ranging from $140,000 - $170,000 based on performance
