They must demonstrate a collaborative, solutions-based approach to serving our mission and impacting our community. This role furthers our business goals by engaging internal partners, and externally by building and maintaining strategic partnerships, engaging in Washington State communities, and reaching priority audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to bring forth new ideas and see those ideas come to life!WHAT YOU WILL DO:Establishes and maintains an event calendar, leads, and oversees the successful execution and measurement of events by working with cross functional teams; presents the Credit Union with a strong visible corporate image at partner, neighborhood, and community events and festivals.Builds and delivers programs that will promote financial literacy while growing credit union visibility, including facilitating financial wellness workshops and seminars through reciprocating relationships. Explore and manage Select Employer Groups (SEGs), offering financial services to employers that meet the mission of SCU at both local businesses and non-profit organizations; Build and maintain a database to manage SEGs. Builds relationships with local fundraiser and sponsorship affiliates that align with SCU’s mission and vision; manage donations, attendance, and brand expos.Partners and collaborates with credit union Managers frequently to develop branch outreach initiatives based on branch neighborhood and branch consumer base. Collaborates with other stakeholders to report findings and recommendations to Senior Management.Drives results by engaging new business, outreach, developing KPI’s, and measuring impact to communities. Provides management support for grants and reporting mechanisms. Actively partners and collaborates across all areas of the organization to best understand and communicate the value of all SCU services to key community stakeholders.Maintains relationships with non-profit community partners to communicate the value of SCU.Engages with community partners, stakeholders, and organizations, and leverages current relationships to further expand business development opportunities at all levels.Able to communicate skillfully, both verbal and written, in an effective manner that facilitates clear understanding. Educates and persuades internal and external audiences through public speaking and presentation skills.Demonstrates innovative thinking by translating strategic plans into successfully executed actions.Optimally multitasks and prioritizes work responsibilities all while meeting deadlines. Demonstrates flexibility to understand changing priorities and adjusts accordingly.Contributes both independently and as part of a dynamic team.Drives results by engaging new business, outreach, and measurable community impact.Professional conduct which includes punctual and excellent attendance.Demonstrates commitment to SCU values.Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU WILL BRING:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, finance, economics, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible leadership positions in community development, social services, non-profit and/or business development, and/or organizational development on a local or regional scale. Practical experience serving communities historically underrepresented by the financial services industry. Experience within an economic development-oriented organization, chamber of commerce, nonprofit, public, or municipal entity preferred. Excels at follow-through, anticipating challenges, and is confident meeting tangible metrics with some level of role ambiguity.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Preferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, finance, economics or related field.Financial Institution background. Working Conditions: This is a hybrid role with work performed remotely as well as in an office and/or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State. Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Some travel may be required.
