What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in our Long Beach Headquarters. If you are organized, efficient, analytical and a critical thinker then this position could be for you. You can be hybrid in the Long Beach office for this role, but it will be in-office every day during the training period.

How you can make an impact as an Accounts Payable Clerk

• Responsible for data entry of Accounts Payable (A/P) vouchers.
• Responsible for reviewing and posting Accounts Payable batches.
• Maintain vendor’s certificates of insurance.
• Communicate with vendors on payment status, inquiries, and requests for invoice copies.
• Verify vendor accounts by reviewing vendor statements and related transactions.
• Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree is required.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business/Economics or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.
• Proficient in 10-key entry and typing.

Pay range for this position is $24 to $26/hour depending on experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
