We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts payable processes, preferably with expertise in NetSuite or similar ERP systems. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

· Manage Accounts Payable Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.

· Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, resolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner. Negotiate favorable payment terms and discounts where possible.

· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounts payable function. Implement changes to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.

· Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.

· Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations. Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

· Performing other related duties as assigned

What You’ll Need to Help Us Win

1. A curious and inquisitive mind. We are looking for someone who likes to ask lots of questions!
2. At least 2 years of accounts payable experience
3. Experience with expense management software tools
4. Attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems is strongly preferred. JD Edwards experience may also be beneficial.
7. Technical capacity (MS Office and Excel)
8. Experience in outdoor / action sports, or consumer goods is a plus
9. Ideally bi-lingual in English / Spanish
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
11. Excellent time management and organizational skills

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The role is mainly sedentary; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool, as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, in-person at SCORE HQ
