Job Title: Controller in the Security Industry

Job Description:

As a Controller in the security industry, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the company while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and analysis, with a focus on optimizing financial performance and mitigating risks. The role requires a blend of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive financial performance and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic and evolving industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on variances to budget and forecast.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals.

- Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts to guide operational planning.

- Monitor budget adherence and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

- Provide management with timely and accurate financial reports, highlighting key insights and trends.

- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Monitor changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates to financial policies and procedures.

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and maintain adherence to industry standards.

Cash Flow Management:

- Manage cash flow projections and optimize working capital to support business operations.

- Implement strategies to maximize cash efficiency and minimize financial risks.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and professional development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role, preferably in the security industry.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and accounting software.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
