A growing transit platform is seeking an Operations Manager in Sioux Falls. Responsibilities include overseeing multiple teams which include drivers, dispatch, field & tech support and customer service. This role will also be responsible for successfully managing KPI system to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the on-site daily operations of the company's regional dispatch facility
- Prioritize operational issues as a real-time point of contact for drivers/dispatchers and provide creative solutions for scheduling of a round-the-clock team
- Manage and mentor the on-site team of dispatchers and shift managers
- Lead, coach and develop an engaged team of drivers, fostering a collaborative, cohesive and energetic environment
- Develop relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders and local organizations
- Communicate regularly and provide updates to company's senior leadership and external business partners
- Update and manage established KPI system with teams to effectively drive performance
- Prepare reports and analyze data to improve operational processes, ensure resources are properly allocated and maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, local and company policies, procedures and regulations on service operations
- 8 years of experience as an operations manager overseeing a large skilled and unskilled workforce
- MBO-A proven track record of managing teams and developing people - you know how to motivate and get the best work out of every person who you work with
- Previous success in promoting best-in-class customer service throughout an organization
- High attention to detail while still driving on results and focusing on the big picture
- The ability to make leadership decisions decisively and appropriately in a dynamic environment
- Ability to communicate at levels or the organization and with external partners
- Effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously by prioritizing, delegating and taking ownership
- A strong propensity to process improvement and always seeking a better way of doing things
- Experience working in the transportation industry preferred
