This contract Payroll Manager role requires that you have a hand in all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration). This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.What you get to do every single day- Manage pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies- Establish and maintain a team, as well as motivate it to success- Create all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Clarify pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and make sure proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws- Work alongside fellow members of senior Finance leadership team- Keep an eye on all internal and external audits- Handle payroll staff as well as operations- Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis- Keep track of financial trends by completing payroll analysis- Maintain internal safeguards by managing record keeping and control systems- Provide accurate information and replying to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders- Propose, lead, and work on projects in an effort to improve current processes
