Robert Half is Hiring a Bookkeeper/Office Manager Near Virginia, VA

Robert Half has a bookkeeper role available on a permanent basis. This Bookkeeper role comes with minimal supervision and tight deadline expectations, if you are an accounting professionals seeking an opportunity, this could be for you. The accounts receivable, month-end closing, accounts payable, and reconciliation will need to be regulated in this Bookkeeper role. Furthermore, the Bookkeeper is responsible for a full cycle A/P, data entry, cash applications, coding, light journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area and will be a permanent position. Please apply right away!Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager Duties:• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping tasks for firm, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable and account reconciliation. Post journal entries to general ledgers monthly.• Prepare and analyze financial reports on a regular basis for presentation to management.• Prepare and post payroll and related payroll payables• Reconcile revenue with attendance rosters.• Manage employee benefits.• Employee onboarding and off boarding.• Maintain file and records related to accounting and employees.• Serve as time-keeper for the facility and maintain records of employees hours worked.• Manage inventory of office supplies; approving and ordering new supplies as needed.• Provide clerical support such as distributing mail and preparing documents.• Schedule meetings and appointments; assisting with calendar management.• Plan in-house or off-site activities like lunches, parties, and trainings.• Assist the President with professional and personal tasks or errands as assigned.For success this candidate needs:• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.• Ability to troubleshoot and find work arounds if necessary.• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and maintain accurate notes.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel is a must.• Proficient in QuickBooks on-line. Experience with ADP and Voya helpful but not required.• Is able to be agile in planning and reacting to growth initiatives.• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle multiple priorities.• Sensitivity to confidential matters
