Fairfield Psychological Associates is Hiring a Front Office Receptionist Near Virginia, VA

Established Virginia Beach Outpatient Mental Health practice seeking a dependable and motivated professional to join our team as a full-time front desk receptionist. Great entry-level opportunity with on the job training provided. College students, recent graduates and medical assistants encouraged to apply.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pleasant personality and disposition.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Outstanding telephone manner.
  • Works well with others.
  • Is friendly and compassionate with patients.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems and complete projects.
  • Stable job history
  • Front Office and/or medical assistant experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets and orients patients as they arrive for their appointments.
  • Answers the phone in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Assists patients as they check out, i.e., scheduling next appointment, accepting payment, etc.
  • Reschedules patients.
  • Compiles new patient information packages.
  • Reviews, copies, and distributes correspondence.
  • Maintains proper office opening and closing procedures.
  • Verifies in-network insurance benefits
  • Assists with medication prior authorizations

  • Medical

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift
  • 8 hour shift

This Job Is:

  • A good job for individuals with previous front office experience and/or medical assistant experience
