Robert Half is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Denver, CO
Robert Half is seeking a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Hospitality industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, and match, batch, and code invoices. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Denver, Colorado area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.
Major responsibilities
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
- Operate full-cycle A/P
- Perform special projects as assigned
- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Requirements- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- 2 years of experience in an A/P role preferred
- Data entry experience
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Deep understanding of Check Runs
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
