We are currently seeking a Controller to oversee and manage our company's financial operations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by implementing effective financial strategies, managing accounting processes, and providing insightful financial analysis.

The ideal candidate is an Assistant Controller, Director of Finance or Director of Accounting with a desire to grow with the company and advance to the CFO role to oversee and manage US Operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO in providing updates to the President on the status of the organization including preparation of: Monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements; Development of financial controls and processes; Monthly Actual vs forecast; Accounting journals, ledgers and other records of financial transactions; Annual budgets
• Provide research and support in evaluation of M&A prospects.
• Review/post journal batches to the general ledger and prepare any additional journal entries as required.
• Prepare monthly allocation entries to assign costs to individual projects.
• Prepare all month-end and year-end financial statements and financial packages are prepared within the prescribed timelines.
• Prepare total compensation reports for all employees.
• Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• CPA required
• Oil & Gas industry experience is required
• NDT industry experience is a plus
• Knowledge of GP365 a plus
• Experience with standard accounting processes
• Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to prioritize to produce high quality results in a timely manner
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to make responsible decision in accordance with prescribed policies and regulations.
