POSITION SUMMARY:

As Controller, you will direct all accounting and finance functions for the company, including timely monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and accompanying analysis. You will work directly with the CEO and team to drive operational financial performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Leads all accounting activities; provides direction to team regarding the financial management of the business, including preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual board reporting.

· Oversees communication, implementation, and administration of accounting policies and procedures essential to the maintenance of adequate internal control of operations Directs all AP/AR, and Banking and Cash Management activities including payroll.

· Prepares and administers rolling forecasts and annual budgets (bottom up) working with sales team and monitors performance against budgeted targets.

· Oversees 3PL providers Cold Storage partners and other key vendors, in conjunction with Procurement Manager and assistance of other team members.

· Oversees accuracy of inventories of materials and finished goods both in the company’s books and at co-manufacturers.

· Supports CEO on review of new contracts.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. CPA preferred.

· Previous experience as a Controller / Finance Director, preferably in manufacturing and/or with food industry experience. Understanding or familiarity with bills of materials and product costing models are critical.

· Broad business experience on both the revenue and cost side. Deep understanding of Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow.

· Excellent written and communication skills.

· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to self-direct activities and work schedules and manage and guide small AR/AP team.

· Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables/ v-look-ups), PowerPoint and business intelligence applications. Expertise in ERP systems, Quick Books. Fishbowl, Microsoft Access a plus.

Note: Salary range provided will be based upon experience. Local candidates preferred.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
