WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Account Manager - Agribusiness, manages the client relationships and strategically assists with technical and complex insurance needs to ensure a high level of client retention. The person in this position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. The Account Manager is expected to project a professional company image through all interactions with clients, insurance carriers, coworkers, and others. 

A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY

• Develops a thorough understanding of clients’ business needs and makes recommendations accordingly.
• Gathers new business or renewal information to complete applications and related documentation for submission to appropriate insurance markets.
• Analyzes agribusiness accounts and makes decisions based on individual risk characteristics, exposure analysis, hazard recognition, and control.
• Establishes credibility (knowledge/trust) to both internal and external clients.
• Creates letters to clients of coverage, prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals.
• Provides clients with the necessary electronic documentation and information in a timely manner. 
• Assures policies are accurate and delivered to clients.
• Coordinates claims and loss control activities of clients.
• Reviews appropriate policy change requests and other account activity. 
• Documents and updates electronic files as appropriate.
• Participates in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
• Keeps lead producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts.
• Services the agribusiness line accounts according to the legendary service standard.
• Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, Relation’s compliance practices and external compliance requirements.
• Communicates with leadership on market trends, and other business intelligence.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

• A Property and Casualty License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
• College degree preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in the insurance industry is required.
• CPCU and/or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designations, a plus.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word). Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications, online carrier programs and enrollment sites.
• Knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings and underwriting procedures.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, the ability to travel to client sites, if needed and a reliable source of transportation.
• Excellent presentation skills for both in-person and virtual conference/webinar sessions. 
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills are required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, and others.
• Knowledge and understanding of risk management and loss control.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
