Teal Drones, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, is looking to fill an immediate position for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist. Teal is a rapidly growing technology company focused on creating world class system solutions serving a broad range of applications for design and development of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS drones) for use in defense, public safety, and other government security organizations. The primary responsibilities of this role will include managing accounts payable functions and overseeing corporate credit card transactions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

This role will be based out of Teal’s facility in Salt Lake City, UT with flexible but consistent schedules to work remotely as needed. The role will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or issues.
• Manage corporate credit card transactions, including tracking expenses, reconciling statements, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assist in month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all accounts payable transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues.
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP Business One).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Desired Attributes and Skills:

• Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Associate (CAPA) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB).
• Experience in corporate credit card management or related financial role.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in accounts payable.

• Aptitude for manual dexterity for tasks such as typing, filing, and handling paperwork.

• Capability to work occasional overtime or irregular hours to meet deadlines or assist with special projects, as needed.
